Opening Our Hearts Annual Meeting of Episcopal Church Women

Episcopal Church Center of Utah 75 S 200 E, Salt Lake City, UT, United States

This year's Annual Meeting will take place in Salt Lake City, Utah at the Episcopal Church Center. The theme of the meeting is Opening Our Hearts. We hope every Diocese in Province VIII will send at least one representative to learn from one another and network, elect officers for the 2024-2027 triennium, meet new friends and rekindle old relationships. While still in the planning stages, our retreat will include an extended workshop from the Leading with Heart leadership program currently being developed by Province VIII women in collaboration with women from across the country. We'll also take some time for reflection using the outdoor labyrinth at the Church Center, and enjoy a hands-on workshop making Anglican Rosaries with a local Episcopal Church Woman.Photo by Brent Pace on Unsplash

United Nations Commission on the Status of Women March 22 2024 Leading with Heart Episcopal Church Women Province VIII Priority theme: Accelerating the achievement of gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls by addressing poverty and strengthening institutions and financing with a gender perspective. Review theme: Social protection systems, access to public services, and sustainable infrastructure for gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls (agreed conclusions of the sixty-third session). The descriptor for Leading With Heart Workshop A foundational component of achieving gender equality and empowerment of all women and girls is built by moving into circular leadership models. This radical shift from command and control leadership moves us into a space where all voices are respected and received, ideas heard, and solutions cultivated. This interactive workshop provides an overview of circular leadership through practice while considering the challenge of strengthening institutions by incorporating the gender perspective. The Date and Time for this 1-hour workshop will be determined by the UNCSW. We'll provide the link to pre-register and attend all online CSW events, including ours, as soon as we have the final schedule.
