My name is Madeline Sampson. I am from Fort Defiance, AZ, with the Episcopal Church of Navajoland, which serves New Mexico, Utah, and Arizona.
As I complete my three-year term, thank you for electing me as your vice president for Province 8 ECW. Serving from Navajoland as a leader in our region is an honor. My strong knowledge of culture and the Navajo language has allowed me to share with the National ECW organization. I enjoyed serving on the National Board of ECW to represent my community and the rest of the province. Because my term was during the COVID era, we met in person once, and the rest of our meetings were on Zoom. As the Province VIII Representative to the National Board, I also served on the Policy & Procedure, Bylaws, and Social Justice Committees.
While representing our Province, I enjoyed meeting new people and seeing churches throughout the country. The highlight of my term was planning the Utah ECW retreat and annual meeting in Salt Lake City, Utah. As this new chapter opens up for me as your new Province 8 President, I want to encourage our strength in Faith.
