It is Springtime here in the San Bernardino Mountain Range, and
the bulb flowers like tulips, daffodils and hyacinths are in full
bloom. I talk to my flowers and plants and when the flowers open
up, I tell them, “It’s so wonderful to see you again!”
It suddenly occurred to me this morning, this is how I feel preparing with
excitement to see you all at the Triennial! As we all prepare to
travel to Louisville, Kentucky, how delightful it will be for us all to
be together after a very long “wintertime”.
I remember how overwhelmed I felt during my first Triennial. This
will be the eighth ECW Triennial for myself. Let us have open
arms and smiles welcoming those attending for the first time.
